Karabük University
Karabük University, whose faculties and vocational schools were previously affiliated to Zonguldak Karaelmas University (now known as Bulent Ecevit University), was founded on the 29th May 2007. It is one of Turkey’s youngest and most dynamic universities, but at the same time is connected to the country’s rich history due to its location in Karabük, a mere 8 kilometres away from Safranbolu, a district featured in UNESCO’s “List of World Heritage Cities”. The University strives to provide a globally competitive education for its students and is making great progress in the international arena.
Supported mainly by state funds, the University offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes to its approximately 52,000 students. These programmes are delivered by around 1000 academic staff and facilitated by its 400 administrative and technical staff. The University has 14 faculties, 4 institutes, 4 higher schools and 7 vocational higher schools. Us Mechatronics; Mainly develops products by carrying out R&D activities in the development, design and manufacturing of multi-axis computer-aided manufacturing machines and rapid prototyping systems used in education and a lot of industrial fields.
